We’ve used SealX products on BigBlu to help protect it from the conditions our 4WDs actually see — mud, water, salt, dust and plenty of time outdoors.
For us, it’s about looking after the truck while still using it the way it was built to be used.

Seal X — Protection That Actually Gets Put to the Test
I’ve been using Seal X on our 80 Series for a while now, and honestly, I’m bloody impressed with it.
This old bus gets used properly. We take her to the beach, into the bush and onto some pretty hard tracks, so keeping the paintwork protected isn’t exactly an easy job.
What I really like about Seal X is that it’s tough, versatile and designed to protect against the stuff we throw at our vehicles. And when you do eventually manage to scratch or damage the protection, you can simply reapply the Seal X coating and build that protection back up.
That was actually one of the things that attracted me to the product in the first place. Traditional cutting and polishing can remove a tiny amount of your vehicle’s clear coat every time you do it. Seal X works differently — you’re building layers of protection rather than continually removing them.
And after everything this 80 has been through, the results speak for themselves.
She’s been through beach trips, bush trips, dirt, mud and plenty of abuse, yet she still cleans up bloody well.
In fact, she looks like a pavement princess now… 😂
Another thing I like about Seal X is that it’s not just for 4WDs. The same protection can be used on boats, caravans, trailers and all sorts of outdoor gear — basically anything that cops a bit of a hiding and could use some extra protection.
For us, it’s not about keeping the 80 parked in the shed looking pretty. It’s about using it the way it was built to be used, while still being able to bring it home, clean it up and have it looking bloody good again.
So far, Seal X has definitely earned its place on our 4WD.
Tough. Versatile. Protects the toys we actually use.
And if the old girl can survive what we throw at her, that’s a pretty good recommendation in my books. 👌
